About Rufus:
Some of us at I Heart Dogs have a love affair with the hound dogs, and we could not resist rescuing this handsome hunk! Rufus is about as sweet and friendly as they come, and although he is a big boy, he is very gentle. He has been around children, men and women and does well with everyone. He loves using his nose to sniff his way through a walk, but is also content being lazy during these hot summer days. We do think Rufus’ vision might be impaired, but he can definitely see enough to navigate his way around the place. Even with poor vision, he does not startle, and is very outgoing with everyone. One of the co-founders of I Heart Dogs would love to take him home if she didn’t already have too many dogs. He is just an all-around nice dog.
Please note that Rufus is presently living in a foster home, so introductions need to be scheduled ahead of time.
