About Lucille:

Lucille was found by a good samaritan who saw her wandering the streets picking through garbage to eat.  This very sweet, docile, and curious senior lady was very emaciated when she arrived at our Haven.  We promised her this was the beginning of the greatest happily-ever-after could ever imagine.  We have gotten her vacinnated, spayed, removed some mammory tumors, put weight on her, and we are now showing her what it’s like to be loved, have a meal twice a day, live under shelter, and not be afraid.  Lucille is a little shy when you first meet her, but it only takes a few patient minutes with treats and she begins to warm up.  She loves going on car rides and sitting in the front seat.  She appears to be somewhat potty-trained and would just need time to adjust to a new home’s routines.  She enjoys being in the yard, lying in the sun, and hanging out with her closest human friends.  She seems to be fine with low energy dogs – probably due to her age – but we hae not had her out playing very much due to her surgeries.  She does not bark much, nor is she even close to being high maintenance.  We think she knows life can get rough so you have to appreciate what you have!  Please consider helping a senior dog, whether it be Lucille or any oher, so that they knows what it’s like to be in a safe home surrounded by love before the move on from this world.
