About Gemma:

Gemma is a young Whippet mix who came to us from a municipal shelter that needed to make room. She is a little on the shy side at first, but once you befriend her, you have a loyal friend for life! Gemma gets along just fine with other dogs and may benefit from the companionship of a more confident doggy sibling in the home. We believe she would be most comfortable with teenagers and older as her shy nature would be in direct conflict with the energy and volume of younger children. Gemma desperately wants to trust and love, but she will require a patient owner who will give her the space and encouragement that she needs to settle in at her own pace. She will be a fabulous companion for the family that can give her just that!
