About Pumpkin:

  • FOSTER HOME NEEDED
  • Pumpkin was HW positive and received treatment on 12/1/17 so it would be great if she could get into a foster home to recover in a quiet environment.
  • Pumpkin is a super friendly dog who gives kisses, cuddles, and has nice manners. She lights up when she sees her human friends walking toward her kennel to spend time with her.
  • She is nice to people of all ages, including children, but she does get a little protective of her food (probably due to fending for herself on the streets) so we are recommending teenagers and up.
  • When Pumpkin came into our shelter, she tested well with dogs. However, the environment has caused her to be reactive, as it does with many dogs.  We think she may be able to live with other dogs in a home, but it would take patience and some dog experience to make it works.
  • This sweet girl deserves a chance at a better life after found living in a Detroit park known for a spot where dogs get dumped when they are no longer wanted.
