About Maggie:

Not too long ago, we received a 911 call from our local vet asking us if we would take in a sweet little dog named Maggie.  We were told that her owner brought her in to be euthanized for drinking a lot of water and going potty too much.  The vet staff loved this girl and could not bring themselves to end her life when they knew she had not truly even lived a life.  It was not until we saw Maggie for the first time that we realized how bad her situation must have been.  Maggie was overfed and was so obese that she could not even turn her neck.  Since being with us, Maggie started a diet and is losing weight, and she has already gone down at least one dress size! LOL!  Maggie is good with other dogs and cats, and she loves being in the yard where she does these cute little side-steps when being unleashed.  She likes sunbathing, a nice back scratch, and sleeping in her cozy dog bed.  We want to find Maggie a home that will love her for the little beauty that she is, but will also act responsibly and take care of her with proper nutrition and exercise.  So please give Maggie a chance.  This is a true opportunity to learn what it’s like to be rescued by a dog, because she will make you the center of her world.

If you are interested in meeting Maggie, introductions need to be scheduled ahead of time since she is living in a foster home.
