About Leroy:

  • Leroy is big sweetheart who was found in a good samaritan’s front yard. He was ready to throw in the towel on life because he was thin and hungry, had a bunch of scars on his head, and was wearing a thick collar that was too big for him. Although this boy does appear to be scared of his new environment, he is also very brave in that, given patience, he eventually adapts. He follows the lead of other dogs which helps build his confidence – he loves to play with other dogs
  • He is also becoming playful with staff and volunteers and will give soft, gentle kisses.
  • Leroy has two different colored eyes — his blue eye is actually only half blue, which is pretty cool.
  • He walks well on a leash once he’s outside and keeps his kennel clean.
  • He loves treats and will take them very gently
  • FOSTER NEEDED: Leroy tested positive for heart worm and was treated on 11/3/17.  We are looking for a foster home for him to recover in.
