About Buford:
Buford is an English Coonhound who came to us from another shelter with only a couple of days to spare before euthenasia. When he arrived, he was skin and bones, had a large abscess on his leg and odd lumps on his backside. He is undergoing treatment currently and will have his bumps removed, but they seem to be a result of poor care and are unlikely to indicate a bigger problem. Buford is putting on weight and is filling out nicely — he is beginning to look and act like a coonhound! Buford is a little on the aloof side and will follow his nose to the end of the world — he would do best with a physically fenced in yard. Buford is a big love when you can get his nose off of the ground and will give lots of kisses in exchange for treats. Buford is a happy hound who does well with other dogs but is not fond of cats. Due to his size and aloof nature, he may do best with older children who are steady on their feet.
