|We think Tarzan could do well in a home with another dog, but shelter life is hard on him so we don’t want to add to his stress by testing him with dogs just yet|
- This sweet boy needs a break. Tarzan is extremely friendly with everyone he meets, even in the vet’s office! He is cuddly, and loves to play outside in our big yard with people. He is also very smart. We have been working on basic obedience with Tarzan, and he is a fast learner! Plus he loves treats so he will do anything for a reward and scratch on the back. We just wish people would give him a chance by asking to meet him — he gets very little interest by prospective adopters and we can’t figure out why.
- Tarzan likely started life living outside because he literally saved himself by chewing off and eating (don’t ask how we know!) his own collar leaving behind a healing wound from it being embedded — he was probably kept on a chain outside and his collar was never checked because he was “out of sight, out of mind” in the back yard.
