    About Tarzan:

Tarzan is a young and handsome boy who was found as a stray and brought to us in the hopes of being reunited with his family. He was never claimed so we promised Tarzan that we will find him his second chance at the happily ever after he deserves! When Tarzan arrived at our Haven he had a wound from where his collar had been embedded. We think he quite literally saved himself by chewing off and eating (don’t ask how we know!) his collar. The wound has since healed (though he does have a faint scar) and Tarzan is ready for his forever home! Tarzan is very active and energetic! He loves to run around in the big yard at our Haven and play fetch (although he does not always return the ball to you)! Due to his energy level we are recommending teenagers and older so that he does not knock anyone over! Tarzan is very friendly with everyone he meets! He is going to be a great family dog with some obedience training… which we have already started with him at our Haven! He is a very quick study too, already mastering “sit” and “shake” as well as several other commands! Tarzan seems to want to be friends with other dogs but slow introductions are needed due to his high stress level in the kennel environment. He would do best in a home without cats as he enjoys chasing them a bit too much! We really want to get this guy out of the stressful shelter and into a loving home.
