Ellie

About Ellie:

Ellie is a very friendly, stunning Husky with incredibly soft fur and a happy-go-lucky disposition. She is a big fan of long walks and rolling around in the snow – what you would expect from a Husky! She also enjoys getting massive amounts of attention and likes soft stuffed toys — she will even sleep with them in her mouth! Ellie will do best as a family’s only furry companion. She will require an active home capable of keeping up with the exercise (mental and physical) requirements needed by her breed. She is very people oriented and aims to please. She will do best in an adult-only home as she is incredibly mouthy and not always gentle. Ellie is extremely treat and toy motivated; we think she will learn new things quickly given a firm yet patient owner. We have been working on her leash skills and she has been doing fairly well but does occasionally need reminders on proper walking etiquette. Ellie will require a fenced in yard and would benefit from an adopter who is familiar with the breed. Ellie came to us because her owner was unable to keep up with her needs; we want to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
